3 Reasons to do a 1st Look
"First Looks" are the new normal. Over the last several years most couples I’ve worked with have opted for the first look. Many couples choose the first look because it allows extra time to get a lot of the formal photos taken care of before the ceremony and allows the couple to enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests. It also gives the couple a moment to see each other for the first time on their wedding day in an intimate private setting.

To get the family photos done and give yourself time to enjoy the cocktail hour.
To get the bridal party photos and couples photos done before the ceremony.
You just get mad crazy nerves and you need to see each other beforehand.
If you are not sure why you are doing the 1st look you can definitely skip it. For some couples, it feels like one more logistic to worry about on your wedding day and may not end up saving you anytime as we can end up photographing family formals before and after the ceremony.
